In an unknown land I once followed a man
His land was much, much like yours
Except some of the people had special abilities
It was very reminiscent of many comic books

Ice man I call him
For he had no real name
What he had was the ability to manifest water
And freeze it with his mind

Per haps he could heat it too
But he certainly did not seem to know how

Some government it wanted him
Just like every one else with powers
Why, may be for power
But per haps they were afraid, afraid

I believe that Ice Man hid his powers
for as long as he could
But one day he was called to present his self
At some sort of suspicious gathering

There he stood in line
For a very, very long time
He was there with others, had never been there before
It was sunny, dusty, they were surrounded by barbed wire

The people began to understand
Some thing must have happened at the front of that line
Panic, they all began to run
Soldiers began to shoot them down

Some fought back
With their unique powers
That is why they were there
To be converted or exterminated

Ice man would have to run
If he wanted to keep his life
Ice man would have to fight
From then on until the end of it

Ice man evaded the soldiers attack
Avoided the barbs on the wire
When he had to he fought back
Then he ran and ran and ran

He ran until it was dark
Dark, wet, and raining
In front of some Eastern looking temple he stopped to rest
And that is where he really had to put his powers to the test

Shock, I call her, the one who tracked him
A younger girl in yellow with the power of lightning
The charge in her body should have killed her
But she used it for killing for the government

She called on him to come with her
But Ice Man was no fool
He defended his self, they fought atop the temple
Though the victor I do not know
